More futuristic nostalgia: Brazil-inflected jazz and pop melodies float in an ambiguous atmosphere. Tape-loops made on an analog TASCAM 4 track, add a touch of calculated chaos-- the hum of industrial drone, a bed of ambient hiss. Now and again, opposite moods collide to form a new synthesis. At times, The bass guitar ( with an emphasis on "guitar") is treated as a chordal instrument. Formal necessity often shapes the outcome, proving that strictures can force us to think our way out of them.
